Colorado…beautiful landscapes, Mountain views, fresh air, perfect hiking trails…all of the things one would dream of when thinking of exchanging vows!
Our good friends Mikey and Kailyn did just that! They initially wanted to have their official wedding ceremony in Colorado, but decided that they would have a larger ceremony at home so that all of their friends and family could attend. So they hauled us and a few other friends up to CO and we had the best time celebrating their love for each other!
Adams Falls was only a short hike, but the views that were there were just spectacular. There were wildlife, mountain views, and a huge waterfall that had to be one of the most beautiful sights in nature that we have ever seen that close. Really, if you are near Rocky Mountain National Park, you have to check out Adams Falls!
After spending the day with Mikey and Kailyn taking their engagement photos in Rocky Mountain National Park, we spent the evening watching the two of them profess their love for one another with our close group of friends. After, we walked around and found some super amazing spots for photos. When we got to the waterfall, there was this little tiny ledge that we knew would make an epic photo. We could barely get the words out of our mouths before Mikey was helping Kailyn onto it! I’m pretty sure we were more nervous than they were, but believe us, they are brave! BUT WOW! The photos that came from it are absolutely some of our favorites. Just stunning! You have to see these!
We ended the night back at our cozy cabin with cake and champagne, then all sat around a fire under the Colorado stars until we crashed! It was definitely a trip we’ll never forget!
Mikey and Kailyn, thanks again for trusting us to capture such a special time in your lives. The trip, the laughter, the vows, the photo shoots, the wedding, and crazy fun party back home, were all just so dreamy! Baby boy Bui is due to arrive this September, and we can’t wait to meet him!
