We meet up with Daniel and Anna at CC’s coffee a few months ago to chat about what they dreamed of for this special time in their lives. Right away we could tell they had something special. Every time they looked at one another, they would both blush. How cute is that? We knew photographing them would be so fun!
True story…Anna moved to town for a teacher position, and her classroom just so happened to be right across from her future husband’s classroom. Daniel used to always find reasons to “help” Miss Christiansen fix things in her classroom. Eventually, she started to find excuses to catch a better glimpse of him as well. When class was dismissed, they’d open their doors and just stare at each other with butterflies fluttering in their stomachs. It didn’t take long for the students to catch on, and just a few years later, they decided to make it official forever!
When they told us their story, we just couldn’t imagine better place to capture their love for each other than in their classrooms. They were a little hesitant knowing that their school isn’t the most glamorous of places, but we knew that it didn’t matter. This school had so much meaning to them. One day they will be able to show their children just what life was like when mommy and daddy first met, and that is what makes what we do so fun and heart warming!
After spending time in both of their classrooms (and a dance or two around the beautiful oak tree on campus), we headed out to Lake Martin for sunset. They also wanted photos that would represent where they have spent the last few years together, and nothing says the South like Lake Martin. The beautiful cypress trees, the reflections on the water, the wooden piers, all just so beautiful! All of us stood in awe many times to admire the beauty.
