Since Ashley and Jacob live in Australia, it was a bit impossible to meet them in person over coffee. So, after a few emails back and forth, we agreed to jump on a face time call to talk a bit more about their big day.
Jacob wasn’t able to join us on the call that day, but we had so much fun chatting with Ashley. We knew right away that her and Jacob would be so much fun to work with. Her cute bubbly personality was contagious, and the way she talked about Jacob was just adorable. We couldn’t wait to meet him!
Finally, it was their wedding day! We have been dreaming of photographing a wedding at the beautiful Race and Religious for years. The old Spanish style home in New Orleans is the perfect setting for a day of celebration. There is character EVERYWHERE you look. It is truly a special place, and it was so perfect for these two!
When we arrived and met Jacob, we immediately knew why Ashley fell in love with him. His calm demeanor, dapper looks, and cute Australian accent is obviously what won her over. He’s super sweet and caring towards her, and she just adores him. Watching the two of them together was so refreshing. They are definitely meant to be! Their entire day was so dreamy, especially the sparkles. Oh the sparkles…just check out her dress!! You have got to see this one! From the perfect first look, to the heavenly ceremony which was followed by an epic party and fun exit, this one is one we’ll never forget!
Ashley and Jacob, we are so honored to have had the pleasure of sharing your day with you, your family, and friends. You all made us feel like part of the family, and we had so much fun celebrating with you guys. We hope our paths meet again soon, maybe next time in Australia! ; )
