We have known Mikey for years, and for years we waited for him to meet his soul mate. You see, Mikey is one of a kind. He’s that person you meet once and never forget. Why, because he won’t let you. He treats everyone he meets as family, and is one of the most fun people we know! His sense of humor and his love for a good party make him a good person to know. But, we often wondered when this perfect woman would find this jewel of a man. That is until we met Kailyn.
When we met Kailyn we knew she was special, she had to have been…she kept coming around. She has the sweetest soul, and the most beautiful smile that is super contagious. We saw right away what it was that our friend Mikey adored about her. Seeing the two of them together was just adorable! She understood his sense of humor, she admired who he was, and best of all, she fit right in to our quirky group of friends so flawlessly. I’m pretty sure that for Mikey, asking Kailyn to marry him was a no-brainer, and we are all so happy that she said yes!
When they asked if we would photograph their big day, we were beyond excited! They even let us tag along with them in Colorado for some really beautiful engagement photos, and then a very romantic exchanging of rings in the mountains (photos coming soon)! Then this past November, we had the pleasure of photographing their wedding here in Lafayette with all of their friends and family at the gorgeous Warehouse 535. The photos below say it all!
