They sat at the kitchen table. Two grown adults, eating cake before dinner. And as they finished, she turned on the radio, to the song they first danced as husband and wife (second if you count the second line…). This time it was her turn to lead, out the back door and onto the back deck. And in the blink of an eye a year had passed.
